Nancy Bevilaqua

Nancy Bevilaqua has worked as a counselor for people with AIDS, the homeless, and people with substance abuse issues, and as a freelance travel writer. Her poems have been published in or are forthcoming from Tupelo Quarterly, Hubbub, Madhat Lit, Atticus Review, Kentucky Review, Menacing Hedge, Construction, Apogee, Iodine, and other journals. She recently published a collection of poems about the “historical/gnostic” Jesus and Mary Magdalene entitled Gospel of the Throwaway Daughter. Bevilaqua’s also the author of Holding Breath: A Memoir of AIDS’ Wildfire Days. Nancy now lives in Florida with her son Alessandro.
