I Still Look at My Wrist When I Want to Know the Time

Ask my wrist the time and it will tell you:

Time to get a watch.  Time

to get a bracelet.  Time to get a tan.

Is it weird that I hear ticking

when I look at my empty wrist?

I also hear ticking when I rush.

Time broadcasts from phones,

appliances; all display digital.

A stuntman/comedian

can't dangle from digital.

A modern Miss Havisham keeps

a digital clock, blinking.  It understands

jilted.  I no longer employ

the clock as a role model

when I grip the steering wheel.

Thoughts?  Tell us.
