I noticed my goldfish was hardly moving the other day.
So I took off my shoes and dove in the bowl with her.
Her eyes got real big when she saw me sitting on the rock.
I talked to her in bubble language and said it would be okay.
She kissed me hard with those big orange lips of hers.
I played hide and seek in the coral; she pretended not to see.
Later when I was doing my stupid science homework,
She kept smiling and making kiss prints on the glass.
I wanted to jump back in the bowl, but it was dinner time.
My mother served us something totally new that night.
She said it was macaroni casserole, but I had my doubts.
Sometime later I moved out and went away to college.
